Mayor Mike, Mayor 1%, has taken a bold stand and come to the defense of Goldman Sachs in the wake of the scathingly scathing op/ed cum resignation letter of a former employee of Goldman Sachs, somebody or other Smith I believe it was. Who will now go on to be a hedge fund manager and billionaire, no doubt.
Mayor Michael Bloomberg says the attention given to a Goldman Sachs' employee's scathing editorial about the company is "ridiculous."
I agree the attention is 'ridiculous' but not for the reasons he is stating.
He went downtown (actually a few blocks from his office) to give all the poor employees a hankie:
On his weekly appearance on WOR Radio Friday, Bloomberg said that he had visited the company to express his support for the Wall Street giant.
Most politicians visit hurricane, flood, and tornado stricken aftermaths. Bloomberg goes to console poor middle-class rapers when someone has been big bully meanie to them.
Bloomberg says people should keep in mind that most of the company's clients are sophisticated corporations and financial institutions
And NOT - muppets who have had their eyeballs ripped out. You know...
it's his job to support companies that provide a tax base for the city and employ its residents.
