Boehner whinges

I think that the sequester will hurt our Department of Defense, will hurt our ability to do what Americans believe is our most basic responsibility, and that’s to provide security for the American people.
That over-bloated waste of money, that temple to destruction, that total idiocy that is the Military Industrial complex.

Just so long as we have the power to destroy the planet to make us feel good.

What a crock of shit, piled high enough to drown an economy.

Don't give a fuck about the people that live in the US just by the latest extraordinarily overpriced penile substitute.

But, but we must be strong on defense, they cry, from whom are we menaced as a nation, even if you believe the bullshit that is the "war on terror", nor are there massed armies are at our borders. Do you really think anyone with a couple of nuclear weapons is going to risk immediate and total annihilation, you really think they are that dumb?

Manwhile:

The poor can go hang.

The middle class can be robbed to feed the rich.

The sick can go untended.

The elderly can be robbed of their life savings.

Just so we can have "the biggest d...stick"?

It is absurd, it is disgusting and a total waste of resources.

One must never touch the sainted fucking Department of Defense.

Throw people out of work.

Throw them out their homes.

Our rights can be eliminated.

Turn the screw until we bleed.

All for the sake of our unwarranted and over hyped fears.

Bleed the country dry, all for the

Sainted Department of Defense.

Do you really expect me to believe that we cannot defend ourselves if we reduced the budget by half or two thirds?

Really?

Ye gawds, just hope there is something worth defending when they have finished.

More Tagging tips:

A tag is a way to search for this diary. If someone is searching for "Barack Obama," is this a diary they'd be trying to find?

Use a person's full name, without any title. Senator Obama may become President Obama, and Michelle Obama might run for office.

If your diary covers an election or elected official, use election tags, which are generally the state abbreviation followed by the office. CA-01 is the first district House seat. CA-Sen covers both senate races. NY-GOV covers the New York governor's race.

Tags do not compound: that is, "education reform" is a completely different tag from "education". A tag like "reform" alone is probably not meaningful.

Consider if one or more of these tags fits your diary: Civil Rights, Community, Congress, Culture, Economy, Education, Elections, Energy, Environment, Health Care, International, Labor, Law, Media, Meta, National Security, Science, Transportation, or White House. If your diary is specific to a state, consider adding the state (California, Texas, etc). Keep in mind, though, that there are many wonderful and important diaries that don't fit in any of these tags. Don't worry if yours doesn't.
