Speechless, me. Who made that decision? Why?

Just to let you know how I feel about that upfront: my expletives were so destructive to the site that they were erased automatically

SHAME ON YOU !

I am not the brightest bulb around here, but I read and appreciate a LOT what
Meteor Blades, Navajo and other active contributors and commentators of the Native American community and their friends have to say about Native American issues. That's the last thing I want to go missing at this site and their contributions on a Netroot Nations panel would have been invaluable.

Here, just by accident, I ran into this comment by cacamp and I thought that can't be true.

they all have large Native American populations (11+ / 0-)

That are very under represented in polls. Our population gave South Dakota two senators and the only Rep for several cycles. A lot of pundits couldn't understand why such a red state in most polls could have a solidly democratic delegation.

The problem is two fold. Indians don't register or vote in nearly the numbers they should and, We've been totally ignored by the democratic party except during the extended primary between Clinton and Obama.

Our population is severly undercounted also plus we have the advantage of living in communities and reservations that are cohesive enough to swing districts.

Too bad Netroots Nation turned down Meteor Blades and Navajos proposed panel. This is exactly what we wanted to explain to people. With a decently funded voter registration drive and gotv effort we could do for Montana and N.D. what we did for S.D.

America could have chosen to be the worlds doctor, or grocer. We choose instead to be her policeman. pity

Emphasis mine. Now they are under represented even at Netroot Nations. Who would have thought ...

I feel like I could  beat up my dog out of frustration. (Sorry, Sasha sweety, I won't beat you up ever, but don't you agree that this is just un(fucking)believable?) See, now I am even talking to my dog out loud like a crazy old woman... darn it.

I want an explanation for why the panel was turned down and who decided that and how the decision was made.

Freedom of Information Act Inquiry directed to the Overlords at Netroot Nations. There you have it.

More Tagging tips:

A tag is a way to search for this diary. If someone is searching for "Barack Obama," is this a diary they'd be trying to find?

Use a person's full name, without any title. Senator Obama may become President Obama, and Michelle Obama might run for office.

If your diary covers an election or elected official, use election tags, which are generally the state abbreviation followed by the office. CA-01 is the first district House seat. CA-Sen covers both senate races. NY-GOV covers the New York governor's race.

Tags do not compound: that is, "education reform" is a completely different tag from "education". A tag like "reform" alone is probably not meaningful.

Consider if one or more of these tags fits your diary: Civil Rights, Community, Congress, Culture, Economy, Education, Elections, Energy, Environment, Health Care, International, Labor, Law, Media, Meta, National Security, Science, Transportation, or White House. If your diary is specific to a state, consider adding the state (California, Texas, etc). Keep in mind, though, that there are many wonderful and important diaries that don't fit in any of these tags. Don't worry if yours doesn't.
