There is not much that needs to be said, except that the presidential candidate who runs from commenting on Trayvon Martin found time to send his "thoughts and prayers" to former Vice President, bully and war criminal Dick Cheney.

The Romney campaign posted this message from the candidate on Twitter, on the news that former Vice President Dick Cheney has received a heart transplant:

Ann and I send our thoughts and prayers to Vice President Cheney for a fast and full recovery.

And again the man who tries to avoid revealing himself does so through his actions and inaction, and reveals just where his priorities lie.

More Tagging tips:

A tag is a way to search for this diary. If someone is searching for "Barack Obama," is this a diary they'd be trying to find?

Use a person's full name, without any title. Senator Obama may become President Obama, and Michelle Obama might run for office.

If your diary covers an election or elected official, use election tags, which are generally the state abbreviation followed by the office. CA-01 is the first district House seat. CA-Sen covers both senate races. NY-GOV covers the New York governor's race.

Tags do not compound: that is, "education reform" is a completely different tag from "education". A tag like "reform" alone is probably not meaningful.

Consider if one or more of these tags fits your diary: Civil Rights, Community, Congress, Culture, Economy, Education, Elections, Energy, Environment, Health Care, International, Labor, Law, Media, Meta, National Security, Science, Transportation, or White House. If your diary is specific to a state, consider adding the state (California, Texas, etc). Keep in mind, though, that there are many wonderful and important diaries that don't fit in any of these tags. Don't worry if yours doesn't.

You can add a private note to this diary when hotlisting it:

I don't want to seem heartless, but Cheney has never shown a sign of having a heart or giving a damn about any of his fellow human beings.

Unless maybe, it was someone who contributed to his reckless abuse of human rights and campaign of torture.

There are people at 71 who deserve to live long and many who are younger who don't deserve to die for lack of health care. Now we have a guy who is essentially on a full blown, all federal medical care program who put him in line as if he were something other than a felon who should have been tried and convicted for war crimes.

I would mind giving a war criminal a new heart in some circumstances if there was something to be gained from certain war crimes trial. As it is, it would be best if this cretin were confined to quarters for whatever remains of his cretinous life.

Would that he were in solitary confinement or locked in a cell at Gitmo. Once he's well enough to leave his private hospital room and Secret Service guards.

What the hell, life isn't fair. May he live very long and suffer every day.

This raises even more questions why Mitt Romney walked away without saying a word when he was asked to comment about Trayvon Martin's killing.

  •  Romney released as statement Friday (2+ / 0-)

Shortly after President Obama spoke out for the first time on the killing of 17 year-old Trayvon Martin, former Massachusetts Governor and Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney followed suit, issuing a statement, through a spokesperson, which read “What happened to Trayvon Martin is a tragedy. There needs to be a thorough investigation that reassures the public that justice is carried out with impartiality and integrity.”
    http://www.mediaite.com/...

The statement could not have been more generic and probably was crafted by a consultant but he did say something.

It's a statement that proves he's not an ambitious moral leader befitting his frontrunner status in a race to lead the executive branch of the United States of America and it's a statement the fails to convey any empathy for the parents of Trayvon Martin even though he is the father of sons, but it's a statement. In Romney's world that's all he had to do.

    tragedy.
Actually he has no mental filter and no connection to humanity, so he knows if he says something any where near off the cuff, he will completely fuck it up.

Can't even say "my sincere condolences to the family in their loss."

He knows it was a confusing situation with a person of color and somebody shook his graphite memory bank again.

And the "betcha ten thousand dollars..." gambit backfired... (that was a sure-fire deal) sure didn't see that one coming... nice story about the family pet on vacation sure was misunderstood...need to have my server reformatted donchya know? (wink)

Note the highlighted items. The age, of course. But the psychosocial instability certainly applies. The man is war criminal. Assuming the 1% do not triumph completely and rewrite all history in total Orwellian fashion, that will be written as history eventually.

Patients having the following conditions are not good candidates for a heart transplant:

        Fixed pulmonary hypertension
        Severe, chronic disabling diseases
Severe, irreversible, chronic impairment of other vital organs, such as kidneys, intestines, liver, lungs or central nervous system
        Recent or uncontrolled malignancy
Symptomatic, severe peripheral, visceral, carotid or cerebrovascular disease that cannot be corrected
        Malignant hypertension
Inability to discontinue recreational drug, tobacco or alcohol use
Active mental illness that interferes with medical treatment compliance
Psychosocial instability, lack of social or family support, ongoing noncompliance with medical treatment
        70 years old or older
Pulmonary infarction within the past six weeks
Very brittle diabetes or diabetes with end organ damage
Major chronic disabling diseases, such as arthritis, stroke, neurological disease, severe inflammatory or collagen vascular disease
