This cartoon's subject is "old news" by now, but I'm including it because it made me LOL - a RARE circumstance these days.
It's time for "this day in history." On this date in 1836, the first Mormon temple was dedicated, in Kirtland, OH. The next day, they began hating on marriage for {insert hushed tone here} teh gayz!
On this date in 1998, the FDA approved the drug Viagra, made by Pfizer, to fight male impotence. And, men who take it AREN'T sluts! Finally, wish a happy 49th birthday to the ORIGINAL "Tarantino." ;D I own a bunch of his movies; this one is my FAVORITE.
Now, we get SPARKy! :D In yet another moment, of "Hoosier" pride, we'll drink most of y'all under the table! For any of you waiting breathlessly for your FAUX News hoodie, I've got some bad news for you. Finally, this story gives a whole new meaning to "Oh, Canada!"
Let's hang out with Keith & Rachel for a couple hours. :)
#5 "Delayed Justice" AKA "Justice for Trayvon" - So, is the Sanford PD leaking all this pro - Zimmerman stuff to save their own a$$es? Boss Limbaugh said Mr. Zimmerman was just "a little overzealous." That's like calling Boss Limbaugh just a little racist or a little sexist. And, Geraldo Rivera offered the classic non - apology by defending his remarks claiming another "conservative" African - American agreed with him. Ya' got all that? :) The family attorney wonders why the leaks only support Mr. Zimmerman. The lead homicide investigator wanted Mr. Zimmerman arrested for manslaughter the night of the shooting. Manslaughter? What about murder?! Dems had a forum on Capitol Hill to support the Trayvon Martin family; they also discussed racial profiling & "Stand Your Ground" laws. I saw that damn NRA hoodie earlier today & thought I was gonna retch. Talk about playing both sides of the damn fence! They're supporting George Zimmerman's right to pack heat & shoot unarmed young men, but, in case anyone runs into someone like George Martin, you can get your hood on AND pack heat! *&^%$#@! Adam Weinstein thinks the main reason why Mr. Zimmerman wasn't arrested on site for manslaughter because of the "Stand Your Ground" defense. If prosecutors don't think they can get a conviction, they won't push a case. He also said the Sanford PD is suffering from a "discipline problem"; that's being charitable about it. A whole lot of people are getting more & more angry by the day with this case. FL's Governator & AG are at least looking like they're making the Trayvon Case a priority, but they've appointed some pro - gun MENSA folk to examine the "Stand Your Ground" $hit. Rep. Frederica Wilson's stylin' again tonight! Hate crimes were also discussed in today's forum. I like "intelligent mismanagement!" I think everyone I work with has that IN SPADES. The crime scene wasn't isolated by that yellow tape stuff?! Damn! So much for preserving the scene... *&^%$#@! I think that 911 tape telling Mr. Zimmerman to NOT follow Trayvon Martin will be awfully very important in any future criminal or civil action.
#4 "Care Less" AKA "Mandate in the Middle" - A shaky day for HCR in front of SCOTUS today is being charitable; I listened to all of today's oral arguments, and the lawyer defending HCR should've had some Wheaties or something for breakfast! I was literally face palming during most of his time up there. Other memos from today's arguments include an obsession with burials & rabid anti - broccoli leanings. Jonathan Turley's back for SCOTUS post - script. Justices Kennedy & Scalia are being watched very closely. We're pinning our HCR hopes on these two?! *&^%$#@! Jonathan thinks part of the blame for the Solicitor General's poor performance was because of flip - flopping in the DOJ? Uh...OK. The issue tomorrow concerns whether or not the rest of HCR can go on if the mandate is held to be unconstitutional. It sounds like there WAS some flip - flopping concerning the severability clause of the individual mandate. Ugh...
"Time Marches On!" - I nearly mentioned Gloria Swanson's birthday today. "I'm ready for my close - up, Mr. DeMille." AND, she boinked Joseph Kennedy, too! The Pope got a new hat in Mexico. He's got something to wear on Taco Tuesdays now! A big 'ol paper airplane took flight. It was attached to a helicopter?! That's cheating! RODENT!!!! That's a squirrel? Huh.
#3 "Pick Rick" AKA "The Great Right Hopes" - Man on Dog went from keeping President Obama in office to Mittens being the worst alternative in the HCR realm to offering himself to be VP. Talk about your flip - flopping! A chunk of MENSA voters don't even know Man on Dog's Catholic. And, I'm fast forwarding through "that woman"; my blood pressure can only take so much. Ken Vogel gets to follow her. EEK! I'm not sure I can see a Mittens - Man on Dog ticket. He'll pick a bat$hit evangelical, but I think there's too much bad blood between the 2. I like CaliScribe's idea of Mike Huckabee! Mittens thinks Russia is our biggest foe; Cold War's over, dude! The president of Russia TOOK ISSUE with that comment. Oh goody, here's more about the elevator in his garage - like I didn't see it enough on teh Twitter today. My car elevator's on back order thanks to Mittens! :D
#2 "'Wedge' Issues" AKA "NOM Revealed" - NOM double - secret memos reveal a concerted effort to divide the African - American community & homosexuals in Prop 8 efforts. Thank you, Maine, for finding these! They also talked of "assimilation" of the Hispanic community for their agenda. Brian Moulton works for the Human Rights Campaign. A lot of NOM's funding comes from 8 donors. An increasing number of African - Americans are more in favor of marriage equality. They even wanted to get children of gay married couples to diss their parents on camera. STAY CLASSY!
#1 "Sky is the Limit" AKA "Hacks" - Pirate Rupert & his sabotaging bees have been very busy AND multi - taskers; they work in print AND on the television machine! The BBC uncovered this evidence. German hacks stole codes & passed them onto pirate sites; the targeted company was soon out of business. We get John Dean tonight for Pirate Rupert television machine hack duty! :D This kind of sabotage is taken very seriously across the pond. American television networks may or may not have been tinkered with by NewsCorp. Pirate Rupert bought the company that was suing him. Convenient! Little Jimmy is the "see no evil speak no evil hear no evil" exec in NewsCorp. "I saw nothing!" :D
