Well that didn't take long.

The Press Gazette is reporting that they have a man in custody in relation to the firebombing of the Planned Parenthood clinic in Grand Chute, Wisconsin.  He is currently in the Outagamie County Jail on a probation violation.  He has not been charged.  The surveilance video showed a vehicle and a matching vehicle was involved in a crash and towed.  It is not yet clear as to whether he will be charged in Federal Court, or in the Outagamie County Court system.  At this time he has NOT been charged in the incident, nor has he been identified.

I'll try and update on this story as more information becomes available.

Planned Parenthood has issued a statement.

For immediate release                                                                                                                                           Contact: Stephanie Wilson            April 3, 2012                                                                                                                                                                  608-256-7549 ext. 2132  Statement by Teri Huyck, President and CEO of Planned Parenthood of Wisconsin, on Arrest of Potential Suspect Stemming from Incident at Appleton Health Center  “For 77 years, the dedicated staff at Planned Parenthood of Wisconsin have worked to ensure that women and families will always be able to access affordable, high-quality health care in a safe and caring environment in which their privacy and dignity is respected.   “As a trusted nonprofit health care provider, patient health and safety is our top priority. We applaud law enforcement who were able to work so quickly to apprehend a suspect. Violence in our society should never be tolerated.  “We extend our heartfelt gratitude to the law enforcement agencies working with us to ensure Planned Parenthood of Wisconsin continues to be a safe and trusted health care provider for Wisconsin women and families.” Planned Parenthood of Wisconsin cares for 80,000 patients statewide who turn to us for medical exams, lifesaving cancer screenings, birth control and STD testing and treatment.  Over 97 percent of the health care services we provide are essential, preventive care such as this.  At three of our 27 health centers, we provide abortion care, a critical component of comprehensive women’s health care.  Sunday night around 7:40 p.m. the Grand Chute Fire Department was called to our Appleton North Health Center.  Police are telling us that a small, homemade explosive device was placed on an outside windowsill causing a small fire that burned out prior to the fire department arriving.  There was minimal damage to one of the exam rooms.  No staff or patients were injured or present. A suspect was arrested by the Grand Chute Police Department today in connection with the incident.  ###

Francis G. Grady. Thanks to luvmyprez for the info. Mr. Grady has a rather extensive rap sheet=   Those who were betting on an 50ish, chubby, white guy with a goatee, win.

More Tagging tips:

A tag is a way to search for this diary. If someone is searching for "Barack Obama," is this a diary they'd be trying to find?

Use a person's full name, without any title. Senator Obama may become President Obama, and Michelle Obama might run for office.

If your diary covers an election or elected official, use election tags, which are generally the state abbreviation followed by the office. CA-01 is the first district House seat. CA-Sen covers both senate races. NY-GOV covers the New York governor's race.

Tags do not compound: that is, "education reform" is a completely different tag from "education". A tag like "reform" alone is probably not meaningful.

Consider if one or more of these tags fits your diary: Civil Rights, Community, Congress, Culture, Economy, Education, Elections, Energy, Environment, Health Care, International, Labor, Law, Media, Meta, National Security, Science, Transportation, or White House. If your diary is specific to a state, consider adding the state (California, Texas, etc). Keep in mind, though, that there are many wonderful and important diaries that don't fit in any of these tags. Don't worry if yours doesn't.
