Dear defenders of George Zimmerman...

Thank you for informing me that I, as a white/Hispanic male with several black friends, am therefore categorically incapable of racism. I look forward to spewing racial epithets with aplomb, knowing that I, by mere virtue of my heritage, am above reproach.

And thank you, Conservatives, for informing me that I made up my heritage simply to vilify Mr. Zimmerman.  Of course, seeing as how I'm equal parts Mexican and Scottish (with very light skin), I could have sworn I'd been checking the white/Hispanic (or similar) box for years.  In the old days when that box didn't exist, I checked both boxes (usually labeled "White/Caucasian" and "Hispanic/Chicano/Latino".)   Alas, I must have simply been lying to myself, for we know Conservatives (with a big "C") are never wrong.

To all of you, thank you.  I simply wouldn't know who or what I was if you weren't here to decide for me.

More Tagging tips:

A tag is a way to search for this diary. If someone is searching for "Barack Obama," is this a diary they'd be trying to find?

Use a person's full name, without any title. Senator Obama may become President Obama, and Michelle Obama might run for office.

If your diary covers an election or elected official, use election tags, which are generally the state abbreviation followed by the office. CA-01 is the first district House seat. CA-Sen covers both senate races. NY-GOV covers the New York governor's race.

Tags do not compound: that is, "education reform" is a completely different tag from "education". A tag like "reform" alone is probably not meaningful.

Consider if one or more of these tags fits your diary: Civil Rights, Community, Congress, Culture, Economy, Education, Elections, Energy, Environment, Health Care, International, Labor, Law, Media, Meta, National Security, Science, Transportation, or White House. If your diary is specific to a state, consider adding the state (California, Texas, etc). Keep in mind, though, that there are many wonderful and important diaries that don't fit in any of these tags. Don't worry if yours doesn't.

and revealed the racism inherent in those people who are criticizing George who was just working as an unpaid security guard because all of his neighbors asked him to because they were so fearful over the rampant crime.
Now it has come out that Trayvon was a burglar, a gangsta and gangbanger, a drug dealer, was known to carry weapons with him and thoroughly embraced the Gangsta culture.  We can be sure that this is correct because people like this guy has told us so:

  •  Should we trust the media? (0+ / 0-)

If you trust these manipulative greed mongers then that is your decision.    I do not trust the MSM to do anything but connive in ways to increase their own revenue and advertising stream.   They will throw or hype any situation if it benefits their greedy dishonest management and bottom line.    The Fauxes are not the  only ones.

We've seen them play this game before where they (Fox or others) play us schmucks like 3rd violins so as to gain eyeballs and advertisers, and they will do anything (repeat ANYTHING) to stir up the public so as to increase their bottom line profits.

Greed is what they know best  instead of being obsessed with providing objective sources of information.     The Fourth estate died when the USA was hijacked by the corrupt consolidated media, and it began 40 years ago.

Criminal cases need to be tried in a court of law, not by Greta Van Sustren or Nancy Grace or Wolf Blitzer.    Yes there may be times that DAs and police need a push to keep things honest.    Duke University polo team was one and so was OJ.

Zimmerman and Martin case needs to face a grand jury and proceed from there,  not directed by the media thieves.

Victims of bigotry are the poorest, least influential members of society.......never the wealthiest, most educated, most overrepresented in high levels, and most influential. Bigotry hurts the least influential. To claim or say otherwise is absurd.

  •  Hey man (0+ / 0-)

Me too. Except that I am much more Italian/Scots + African/Hispanic. But there was never that box. I always chose "other" or N/A to just keep them guessing!
