October 2010: Mitch McConnell told Major Garrett of National Journal the Republicans top priority is to make President Obama a one-term President:
MCCONNELL: The single most important thing we want to achieve is for President Obama to be a one-term president.
~ Mitch McConnell, October 2010
September 2010: Senate Republicans Filibuster (block) DREAM Act
December 2010: Senate Republicans Filibuster (block) DREAM Act
December 2010: Mitch McConnell & Republicans Filibuster More Bills than any Congress in US History in attempt to reach GOP's "most important achievement"
January 2011: GOP Took Control of House
May 2011: Harry Reid re-introduces DREAM Act in the Senate but Republican's vowed to withhold their votes.
Putting this in factual historical terms: Democrats have introduced the DREAM Act three times since President Obama took office and the GOP have obstructed and filibustered the DREAM Act three times since President Obama took office.
The biggest GOP Lie this year is "Democrats had Congress for 2 years and did nothing on (fill in the blank).
As we all know, the Democrats did not have "Control" of Congress for 2 years because Mitch McConnell Filibustered more Bills than any other Congress in the History of this country and Mitch had the help of one fake Democrat, Ben Nelson, and one Independent Joe Lieberman (who has really been a GOPer for 6 years now.)
Mitch McConnell and the Senate Republicans openly vowed to screw over "the People" and obstruct "the People's" work from getting done to fulfill their agenda "single most important thing we want to achieve is for President Obama to be a one-term president."
This week's biggest GOP Lie is "Dems had Control of Congress for 2 years and did nothing on Immigration."
The fact is GOP Blocked the DREAM Act in September 2010 and in December 2010 therefore, clearly the Democrats did do something on Immigration in the 2 years Democrats had alleged "control" of Congress.
Seems Mitch McConnell was hoping "the People" would equate his Record Number of Filibuster to mean Democrats had Congress for 2 years and did nothing on (fill in the blank). McConnell must really think "the People" are dumbasses.
That means, in historical factual terms: it is the Republicans who have done nothing on immigration since President Obama took office.
