I'm really getting tired of Republicans crying about the "fiscal house" needing to get in order. Hearing a former Bush 43 staffing pulling that meaningless term on hardball tonight really burned me up. I guess no one gave the Democrats the memo that stated, Republicans spend for eight, then obstruct for four.

It is almost like the thief telling the victim, oh so sorry, but now you have to pay again. None of these clowns cried when Bush needed to pay for his tax cuts, stimulus rebate that helped fund Chinese manufacturing and walmarts sales, gave big pharm the deal of the lifetime with part D, spent 3-4 trillion on Iraq and Afghanistan, and TARP. I could go on for a while, but you get the point.

Now where is the money when we need to pay for all the fun in the sun, and eight years of behaving like the so-called tax and spend liberal. Its such hypocrisy from the right, that sometimes I'm lost for words. When wall street needs money the federal reserve is the credit card of choice, main street however needs to spend within their means. More and more bankrupt rhetoric, from a party whose austerity has reached more than just economic ideals.

I know, I know its all about a balanced budget, getting all those lazy leeches back to work and people taking responsibility. Unfortunately, conservatives never want to address the policies that led us here, they don't want a balanced approach to the budget (they just want to cut taxes for the rich, spending for everything besides the Pentagon, and you take care of your own healthcare), oh and all the wealth will trickle down (unfortunately to China).

Oh and lets not forget my favorite conservative tool to keep those good, American folk in line. The three g's of moral focus. Or to steal the three words from Hunter Thompson, the Fear and Loathing of your fellow Americans. You know what I mean. They want to take God out of your life, your guns out of your hands and if that doesn't work they always bring up their favorite new second class citizen. Yes my friends those evil gays. And God help us all if I have to hear about those people (use a minority of your choice) selling their food stamps to afford lexus payments one more time, I just might scream.

Will we ever understand the conservatives just want to be left alone to tell everyone else how to live. But I know, I know I'm being unfair. I just have to stop being intolerant to intolerance. I'll try, but I doubt I can do it.

More Tagging tips:

A tag is a way to search for this diary. If someone is searching for "Barack Obama," is this a diary they'd be trying to find?

Use a person's full name, without any title. Senator Obama may become President Obama, and Michelle Obama might run for office.

If your diary covers an election or elected official, use election tags, which are generally the state abbreviation followed by the office. CA-01 is the first district House seat. CA-Sen covers both senate races. NY-GOV covers the New York governor's race.

Tags do not compound: that is, "education reform" is a completely different tag from "education". A tag like "reform" alone is probably not meaningful.

Consider if one or more of these tags fits your diary: Civil Rights, Community, Congress, Culture, Economy, Education, Elections, Energy, Environment, Health Care, International, Labor, Law, Media, Meta, National Security, Science, Transportation, or White House. If your diary is specific to a state, consider adding the state (California, Texas, etc). Keep in mind, though, that there are many wonderful and important diaries that don't fit in any of these tags. Don't worry if yours doesn't.

I have been thinking that I would make a proposition to my Republican friends... that if they will stop telling lies about the Democrats, we will stop telling the truth about them. (Adlai Stevenson)

  •  It's time to stop complaining (0+ / 0-)

about conservatives- like a divorced couple- and start thinking about the kids. The future of the South and West belongs to an anti-Wall Street program. If Dems get at least joint custody of the issue it will drive a wedge between the Tea Party and the Wall Street Party, ending the dominance of the conservative alliance.  Under those conditions, conservatives and independents could be absorbed into a Democratic party supermajority, accomplishing the abolition of big money in politics which is required simply for the Dems to continue to exist.

Can Democrats drive that wedge...They seem to think that Americans are reasonable and they will just come around...It's not about good American values on the right, most people realize its a smoke screen for corporate interests. Hopefully, we can figure how to address this, or we will be living in a country where Ted Nugent is trully mainstream :)
