Wah! No more Free Coke (Koch), Senator??
“U might think abt not drinking Coca Cola since company sucombed to pressure fr Leftist not to support ALEC [sic],” the conservative senator wrote on Twitter
(Heh, even rightwing senator spell bad...lol!)
ALEC-Founded in 1973 Is the OUT SOURCED Group who has been creating and writing many Bills/Laws for the US Tax Paid Congress Corporate 'lobby/shills' now for many decades.
Most of us were introduced to ALEC fairly recently, since the 2010 elections, when all the weird GOP Governors who apparently HATE 99% of America's citizens came into Dictatorship.
That a long time GOP Senator would waste his precious time and power and PROVE ALEC's importance via a tweet over a soft drink is quite telling.
Sen. Grassley: Boycott Coca-Cola for leaving ALEC
Sen. Chuck Grassley on Saturday suggested that people should boycott Coca-Cola because the company decided not to renew its membership with the influential American Legislative Exchange Council.

The little-known but influential organization has been a driving force behind voter ID laws, so-called “stand your ground” laws, business-friendly tort reforms, Arizona’s controversial immigration law, and efforts to privatize public education.
THESE influenced laws written by ALEC are Anti-People, anti-democracy and destructive to humanity in general.
Thank goodness A few GOOD American Corporations and wealthy citizens have woken up to the Clear and Present Danger of ALEC and broken ties, including Coca Cola:
Former ALEC members Mars Inc., the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, Kraft Foods, Intuit, McDonald’s, Wendy’s, American Traffic Solutions, Reed Elsevier, Arizona Public Service and Blue Cross Blue Shield also publicly distanced themselves from the organization.
OWS and those fighting the GOP ALEC-owned Governors in Wisconsin, Arizona, Florida etc., deserve a shout out. Those good citizens who are enlightening and educating ALEC Corporate Supporters into leaving ALEC's Corrupt-stable deserve our gratitude and support.
And Major Kudos to the group Common Cause, who has exposed ALEC as mentioned in this NYT article:
Conservative nonprofit ALEC acts as stealth business lobbyist
And this
ALEC Exposed website for keeping it all together.
That a GOP Senator has nothing better or more important to do than 'worry' about Coca Cola leaving ALEC says a lot about his priorities.
So, It must be Important! I wonder why???
