Scott Wooledge originally reported the story here: James Beard Foundation president Susan Ungaro returns Boy Scout Award, in the context of Susan Ungaro rejecting an award because of the outrage the Boy Scouts have wrought on a mother of four for daring to be an "open homosexual."
Now more than 120,000 people have called for Jennifer Tyrrell to be re-instated as a Cub Scout Den leader via a Change.org petition.
Tyrrell, who had never flown on a plane before, travelled to Los Angeles to the GLAAD awards this weekend with her family to talk about what has happened.
Jennifer Tyrrell, the Ohio den mother who was removed by the Boy Scouts two weeks ago after the local district council learned she was gay, gave a powerful and emotional speech at the GLAAD Awards in Los Angeles over the weekend with her partner Alicia Burns, and her children by her side.
Speaking of her son, Jennifer said
Cruz wasn't raised to discriminate. He doesn't understand. I taught all my scouts, just accept people for who they are. I hope that my story will help other kids and parents stand for these values."
Of their time together in the scouts,
Together we did community service projects. We served food at soup kitchens. We collected toys during Christmas time. We worked on a conservation project building bird houses for a state park.
These radical actions, spelled out in detail in the
Homosexual Agenda as the optimal means to subvert and convert the youth of America, were clearly her downfall.
You can send the Boy Scouts a message yourself that this insanity is no longer going to be tolerated; that the vast majority of Americans do not support discrimination against people because of their sexual orientation; and that it is time for them to change their policy of bigotry.
