I took hundreds of pictures, but won't inflict all of them on you.
I arrived at 10:00 to help set up and was way too early. The organizers showed up around 11:30. That's OK. Since I was there, I got to meet all the other early arrivals and greet them. We made a few signs while waiting.
And I took pictures of some of those signs:
The sign at the rally pont was pretty apropos:
Badkitties' Book of Fallopians made it to Oklahoma:
This was one of my favorite signs:
There were lots of men there, more than 1/3 of the people there were men supporting women's rights:
This is the board with copies of the voter IDs (not the actual ID cards, just copies of them):
Several of us showed up dressed as suffragettes, bearing signs. I was the only one who marched in a corset, the others simpy went to the Capitol and met the marchers there. This is my friend Jennene:
Other friends came in T-shirts from various supporting organizations:
Several of our legislators were there. COnstance Johnson was by far the most popular speaker, even more popular that the DJ from Tulsa
NOW, Trust Women (Julie Burkhart), League of Women Voters, and many other groups were there.
I will do a better write-up later.
