We are loving our Social Security checks, which have arrived in our lives just in time to help pay my wife's cancer treatment bills.
What we are not loving are efforts to change Social Security and our defined benefit Teacher Retirement fund into money in the pocket of the greedy 1%.
Thanks to the Strengthen Social Security page on Facebook
learned that CNBC is blatantly pushing a poll for the privatization of Social Security, and even have a stationary ad from Prudential at the top of the page the poll is on that really makes want to throw up:
Prudential
Learn about new lifetime income guarantees.
Solutions for the workplace.
This takes you to another header which says
BRING YOUR CHALLENGES
Restoring Pension Era Predictability to a Defined Contribution World.
Prudential is but one of the companies who are coming for our Social Security, and for
our Teacher Retirement Fundto boot.
What amazes me is that they really think people have so quickly forgotten how many of their relatives, friends and neighbors have to now work until they die because they lost it all in the recent crash?

So hey, kossacks, if you have a few minutes why not take the [lame] CNBC poll?
CNBC Poll: Should Social Security Be Privatized?
http://www.cnbc.com/...
Join the FB page, write/call Congress, let 'em all know 'Jobs, Not Social Security Cuts.'
And please come back and comment if you take the poll, reporting whether or not the Prudential ad is still at the top.
Thanks!
