I am deeply grateful. I won a Netroots Nation Scholarship.

Thank you to everyone who voted for me, and if you didn't I love you too. Special Thanks goes to Luchia/IamNotaKochsucker who nominated me for the scholarship when I thought I wouldn't be able to attend. It will be my first time, so please, be gentle. I want to remember this moment.

What a difference a few months make. I'm really appreciate of the way people have been supportive of my work going all the way back when I first began blogging about politics back in 2009. I'm kind of at a loss for words for once.

Now I just have to get to Rhode Island : )

Just wanted to share some love with everyone, and encourage us all to keep up the fight. So what are you fighting for?

Little more below the fold

The internets, and in particular the Daily Kos community has changed my life in so many ways for the better it can not be understated. You CAN fight back. You CAN make a difference. Hope always continues. The cause always endures. If you fight for what you believe in you can change the world, and when enough of us believe in that and share the same vision we can make it real, even if by one little bit at a time.

So thank you for giving me a place to have a voice, and for sharing this funny orange little space with me.

More Tagging tips:

A tag is a way to search for this diary. If someone is searching for "Barack Obama," is this a diary they'd be trying to find?

Use a person's full name, without any title. Senator Obama may become President Obama, and Michelle Obama might run for office.

If your diary covers an election or elected official, use election tags, which are generally the state abbreviation followed by the office. CA-01 is the first district House seat. CA-Sen covers both senate races. NY-GOV covers the New York governor's race.

Tags do not compound: that is, "education reform" is a completely different tag from "education". A tag like "reform" alone is probably not meaningful.

Consider if one or more of these tags fits your diary: Civil Rights, Community, Congress, Culture, Economy, Education, Elections, Energy, Environment, Health Care, International, Labor, Law, Media, Meta, National Security, Science, Transportation, or White House. If your diary is specific to a state, consider adding the state (California, Texas, etc). Keep in mind, though, that there are many wonderful and important diaries that don't fit in any of these tags. Don't worry if yours doesn't.
