See how he's grown!
Those are bachelor buttons he's standing beside - 3 foot tall bachelor buttons.
This is him compared in size to Xoco. Remember, Xoco is 3 years old and Hector is 9 weeks old:
Don't worry, she held her own and had him flipped on his back in short order.
These may be among the last photos I take of him. He may soon be getting a forever home with a semi-retired soldier. That's a soldier who retired and then went back to work for the military in a civilian capacity, doing almost the same work. Hector will be spending all of his time with his new person, on and off the job, as he will be taken out to the fields for survey work and he will have a number of similar sized dogs to play with and learn from. One of the men there lost his dog and is ready for a new one. Plus, if he doesn't want Hector, there are 2 others there looking for a dog to train up, and Hector is getting to the right age for that.
They will check him out later this week and see who matches up best with him.
I knew Hector would probably become a soldier's dog. He just seems like he should be.
