The Interfaith Service has been part of Netroots Nation from the beginning, thanks to Pastor Dan. In recent years he has had other things going on, like a new family and a full-time ministry, so he's been too busy.
Last year I coordinated the Interfaith Service at Netroots Nation, and it was a wonderful experience. I asked for words from this community having to do with belief systems and activism, and got wonderful contributions from many members of the community, from traditions ranging from mainstream religions to Wicca and Native American traditions. The service was lovely; you can read it here:

Last year I was ably assisted by loggersbrat. This year the idea is hers, and I am helping her out. The subject for this year's service is Justice Is The Public Face of Love . And once again we are looking for inspiration from Kossacks of all faiths and no faith - what do your beliefs say about this? Do you have a personal story that illustrates this idea?
All traditions have something like this in them - the Golden Rule, after all, is found in various forms in all religious traditions. Morality has both a public and a private face, and both of these contribute to our activism and our politics.
All contributions are welcome. We want as wide a representation as possible. If you don't want to leave it in a comment, kosmail to either loggersbrat or me will do just as well. Also, if you see something in another diary that seems relevent, please pass the link on to us.
So thanks in advance.
