Why isn't this as huge a story in the mainstream as "Rosen-gate"?
Via CNN:
Mitt Romney said Monday he wasn’t concerned about Donald Trump’s commitment to the “birther” conspiracy, one day before the GOP presidential candidate hosts a fund-raiser alongside the celebrity business magnate.
Asked on his charter plane whether Trump’s questioning of President Barack Obama’s birthplace gave him pause, Romney simply said he was grateful for all his supporters.
“You know, I don't agree with all the people who support me and my guess is they don't all agree with everything I believe in,” Romney said. “But I need to get 50.1% or more and I'm appreciative to have the help of a lot of good people.”
"I need to get 50.1%"
That's the reason he won't repudiate any of his "supporters" even if they claim the President of the United States is a liar who is not a natural born citizen and thus does not belong in office.
He won't even distance himself from such a person because, and let's hear that reasoning again,
"I need to get 50.1%"
Is this the equivalent of "I'm running for office, for Pete's sake!"
Is this man about anything but winning?
Does anyone know what he believes on any topic?
Is this the most cynical Presidential campaign in history?
We can not let this man win in November. Anyone this unformed, malleable and cynical would be dangerous.
