The Daily Bucket is a place where we can post and exchange our observations about the natural happenings in our neighborhoods. Birds, bugs, blossoms and more - each notation is a record that we can refer to in the future as we try to understand the natural patterns that are unwinding around us.
Last week I told you about an unpaved path in our town. Here are a few more pictures.
This tremendous oak guarded the path at the northwest end. Its trunk was at least four feet in diameter.
In contrast, this tiny flower growing in the path may have been an inch from petal edge to petal edge.
Wild raspberries!
Do you know what this is?
This toadstool, big as a six inch salad plate, was large enough for gnomes to rest on!
Dense webbing in the grass -- probably could catch and hold a gnome on the run!
We are traveling today and won't be checking in. Enjoy the photos, and let us all know what's going on in your backyard. Remember to tell us your location.
