There were several lazer-like discussions about what Wisconsin means, on Up this morning, in case you missed it.
Chris Hayes thinks "Wisconsin is a Microcosm of American Politics" ... a pivotal battle between Unions and working people vs. Corporations and their anonymous unlimited money.
Tom Barrett put it this way: Scott Walker wants to make Wisconsin the Tea Party Capitol of America.
John Nichols defends the cooperation and concessions that Wisconsin Unions always bring to the bargaining table. Wisconsin must have a Balanced Budget by law -- Wisconsin Unions (including Tom Barrett) have always "made the concessions" to meet that goal.
Scott Walker wants to take that "collective bargaining" table AWAY -- both for public and private Unions. Scott Walker has been about Divide and Conquer, he started out by bringing back "Right to Work" (ie. returning workers to the era of No Wage guarantees.)
Is Dark Money buying that Tea Party Nation, where Unions (of dedicated workers uniting) will be a far distant memory?
Hayes: 62% of Scott Walker's campaign funds come from outside of Wisconsin
by Zaid Jilani -- Sun Jun 3, 2012
Hayes noted that a embattled Republican incumbent governor Scott Walker has a huge advantage in campaign funds over Democratic Party challenger Tom Barrett, outspending him ten to one. Meanwhile, outside money is buoying Walker's campaign, with 62% of his campaign funds coming from out of state (26% of Barrett's is from out of the state). And this is just the money going directly to the campaigns of both candidates, it does not account for outside groups using independent expenditures.
Say Hello, to your Future America -- as goes Wisconsin ... so goes your state, one day soon.
Say Hello, to the Tea Party Nation ... bought and paid for by Koch.
