Keep dancing around the maypole, Democrats, because if you continue to dance this is what will happen in November,  Smashed like Scott Walker did Wisconsin.

MONEY is the root of evil, but she sure does know how to stomp on your heart.

Reality Check is surely needed.

The Obama Campaign should be very worried.

Sure, they made a POLITICAL calculation to ignore Wisconsin, which may pay off, but after tonight that shit EMBOLDEN the GOP and all the drive by super pacs to poor money into Wisconsin.  A state that has been BLUE for some time in presidential elections, but may not be after tonight. Meaning wasted resources in a state that we should not have to.

This shit was about TURN OUT, ENTHUSIASM, BOOTS on the GROUND and those continuous pesky negative ads.  We saw what prevailed, not us.

Let's be real here, President Obama has lost some luster.  Sure, you will say "no he has not" but it still does not stop the super pacs from running the negative ad game NUMBERS UP!!  In the end, it is about the corporate money and the SCOTUS decision of "Citizens United".  MONEY TO BUY WHAT TAX BREAKS YOU WANT.  All of this has embolden the other side, how much?  I don't know but this was a wicked loss.

Now, you saw what money does.

When you are running ads, 24/7, 365 days a year with an never ending exhausting process, people get fed the fuck up.

There was no Democratic candidate until ONE MONTH before the recall, and then people were burned out.  (and Wisconsin Dems went with a person they knew)

For those who think Obama should be above the fray going forward, after tonight forget it.  Why we keep thinking the GOP will play nice is beyond me.  They know how to fight and win, that is what the issue is going forward to November.

The Obama Campaign has no choice but to go negative and hard before any convention, the definition must be clear cut, as who, Mitt Romney is.  No choice here.

MONEY.  It either covers you or cuts you cold.  It gives you a clear advantage to buy television time and run negative ads, 24/7 without a thought and make the electorate tired of your ads but sick of your opponent.

I hope people get this, because that is what it is about.  Scott Walker just became a holy saint in the teaparty baggery, and no matter what happens going forward every Republican Governor, wanna be governor, will look at how he won and transform its state going forward.

That is what the Wisconsin win was about.

More Tagging tips:

A tag is a way to search for this diary. If someone is searching for "Barack Obama," is this a diary they'd be trying to find?

Use a person's full name, without any title. Senator Obama may become President Obama, and Michelle Obama might run for office.

If your diary covers an election or elected official, use election tags, which are generally the state abbreviation followed by the office. CA-01 is the first district House seat. CA-Sen covers both senate races. NY-GOV covers the New York governor's race.

Tags do not compound: that is, "education reform" is a completely different tag from "education". A tag like "reform" alone is probably not meaningful.

Consider if one or more of these tags fits your diary: Civil Rights, Community, Congress, Culture, Economy, Education, Elections, Energy, Environment, Health Care, International, Labor, Law, Media, Meta, National Security, Science, Transportation, or White House. If your diary is specific to a state, consider adding the state (California, Texas, etc). Keep in mind, though, that there are many wonderful and important diaries that don't fit in any of these tags. Don't worry if yours doesn't.
