Oregon doesn't make the news much, only when something weird happens, and here's the latest from the AP (And no, I'm not talking about a mass incursion of licentious grannies!)
SALEM, Ore. (AP) - It was a big cat in a Salem back yard - but not a cougar.
Police had responded Friday to a report of a young cougar in the yard near a wooded area. The animal moved on without threatening anyone.
So if it wasn't a cougar (
puma concolor), what was it, perhaps a anachronistic appearance of
smilodon?
