when people say "I know how you feel" due to personal experience and those who state that "they know how you feel because their cousin's boyfriend's sister's best friend" played a game of telephone.

So anyway, here we are. This is a rant. About how people are beyond stupid and see the world through through those sunshine and rainbow glasses of theirs and seem to refuse to think rationally.

I am sick and tired of people talking about shit as if they know firsthand what happens.
I was told by a fifteen year old that she "know some friends that have personal experiance... and even if i dont have personal experiance" with adoption, therefore she is totally qualified to speak about the "goodness" of adoption. All that by her saying these bits of comments:

there is also open adoption idiot. she can see the baby as much as she wants. looking at all her status she is not fit for it. Aborting the baby is wrong! why would any of you say that! you would be killing a beautiful being. its just like pulling a gun out on someone in the street. agin, dont talk to her like that, she knows what she is talking about.
I, honestly, don't know where to start with some of this bullshit.

First of all, the natural mother does NOT see HER child whenever she wants. Just because it's an open adoption, doesn't make it easy. The natural mother also has no control over the adoptive couple decides to close the adoption, move to another state, change the child's name, and never contact the natural mother ever again.

Second of all, aborting a FETUS is not the same as pulling a gun out on a living, breathing, thinking human being. I don't know what the fuck is wrong with these morons!

ABORTION IS WRONG! your killing a living being???? just a little baby... it has a heart, and it feels pain. you all are messed upp! i am a moron??? at least i dont fucking kill little babys

I'm just going to leave that one alone.

hahah actually, it was hard for them... that is why they go for ADOPTION
How does that even make any sense!?

Then, some other lady decided to jump in.

I really hope you get over yourself. No one likes an egotistical hypocrite. You act as if adoption is always SO horrible.
Ha. Wow. Okay, this is where they clearly have no idea what they are talking about. When is adoption NOT horrible?!

At that time, I stopped replying because it was just beating a dead horse.

Seriously, where do people think that adoption is so easy? That just because someone they know went through it, that they know exactly what it entails? I have YET to hear ONE woman say she's happy about her placement. I have yet to hear a woman not say that she regrets it. I have YET to hear a woman say that her adoption HASN'T been horrible. I have yet to hear a woman say that adoption HASN'T ruined her life.

I fucking hate people.

P.S. I have finally turned Atheist.

More Tagging tips:

A tag is a way to search for this diary. If someone is searching for "Barack Obama," is this a diary they'd be trying to find?

Use a person's full name, without any title. Senator Obama may become President Obama, and Michelle Obama might run for office.

If your diary covers an election or elected official, use election tags, which are generally the state abbreviation followed by the office. CA-01 is the first district House seat. CA-Sen covers both senate races. NY-GOV covers the New York governor's race.

Tags do not compound: that is, "education reform" is a completely different tag from "education". A tag like "reform" alone is probably not meaningful.

Consider if one or more of these tags fits your diary: Civil Rights, Community, Congress, Culture, Economy, Education, Elections, Energy, Environment, Health Care, International, Labor, Law, Media, Meta, National Security, Science, Transportation, or White House. If your diary is specific to a state, consider adding the state (California, Texas, etc). Keep in mind, though, that there are many wonderful and important diaries that don't fit in any of these tags. Don't worry if yours doesn't.
