I'm about to do two things I hate. Well, make it three, since I'm doing them with a diary which will push someone else's worthy writing off the recent list.
The first thing I hate is when someone in a web community tosses out a request for links, vid, statistics, etc., as if everyone else in the community is a grad student, hoping to pump up a weak grade by being an eager, unpaid researcher. Blog I used to hang at had an ongoing meme consisting of the phrase, "We are not your research monkeys!"
And here I am asking for research monkeys.
Secondly, I'm making the request in a diary that I won't be able to tend for the day, as it's almost time to pack the tools and drag ass down to the base for work.
All apologies for all transgressions.
And yet, anybody feeling particularly simian smart today?
I'm trying to find one or a few places on this great, wide, wonderful Web where statistics of Mitt Romney's term as governor of Massachusetts can be found. Particularly, I'm looking for totals of how much federal money Governor Hair received in grants to hire teachers, police and firefighters. Stuff like the C.O.P.S. program grants.
This is all in service of a new ad regards Mr. Romney's now famous quote about who and what the federal government doesn't pay for in states.
All assistance is appreciated and all objections are deeply understood.
