I've been reading with great concern about the massive cash going to benefit Romney's campaign. If he gets multi million dollar assists from 1 or 2 individuals it's hard to believe that if elected he won't be suitably "thankful" for the generosity of those people. Sleeping in the Lincoln Bedroom as a reward will be the least of our worries.
That aside, is it just me or does anyone else see a HUGE problem if sequestration happens & defense contractors have to layoff workers just before the election? Who'll they blame? Not the Republican controlled Congress that let it happen. They'll blame the President & with the election days after the fallout could be devastating.
There's some very concerning info in these links that makes me wonder why no one in the Democratic Party has started hustling to address this. Have I missed seeing it? Maybe I'm wrong but this seems like a big deal to me. My husband was laid off & it took 13 months for him to get another job. If it was close to election time & that happened because the government didn't take action I'd be angry. I bet a lot of voters wouldn't take the time to research & see who really let it happen. The President can't sign bills he doesn't get from Congress but do people really think about that?
CNN had a brief mention on the issue the other night. Other than that I haven't seen it addressed. Has anyone else? How do we wake people up?
