Talking Points Memo has an exclusive story revealing the deep disrespect that Morgan Stanley has for you and for all of its Democratic/progressive/pro-choice clients.
Executives have emailed employees to "invite" (read cajole, pressure) them to attend a breakfast with Mitt Romney at company headquarters
From: Holzschuh, Jeffrey

subject: an invitation to meet with Mitt Romney
We are writing to invite you to a breakfast on July 9 in support of Mitt Romney, former Governor of Massachusetts and Republican nominee for President of the united states. The breakfast will be held at 8:00 a.m. on the 41st floor of 1585 Broadway.
Mitt Romney has had an extraordinarily successful private and public sector career. From 1978-1984, he advised companies as a Vice President at the management consulting firm of Bain & Company. In 1984, Romney founded Bain Capital, one of the nation’s most successful venture capital and investment companies. He first gained national recognition for his role in turning around the 2002 Salt Lake City Winter Olympics that were mired in controversy and facing significant financial crisis.....
After a "puff piece" introduction that could have been written by the Romney campaign itself, the email proceeds to "invite" (read strongarm) employees to donate $2500 to $5000 to the Romney campaign:
We hope that you will consider attending the breakfast and contributing $2,500-$5,000 in order to ensure the success of this event. Federal election law permits individuals to contribute a total of $2,500 per election ($5,000 for primary and general election combined). Please CLICK HERE if you plan to attend the event. To donate, please fill out the contributor form and send any checks or credit card contributions directly to the campaign....
The message is clear. Morgan Stanley disrespects its Democratic clients as it takes a crass political position directly against their values and beliefs. Morgan Stanley is shilling for a candidate who wants to take away your access to health care, construct a pipeline down the entire U.S., overturn your right to make your own decisions about your reproduction, and.........arghhhhhhhh! I can't go on.
I already have a call in to my Morgan Stanley "account executive" and urge you to do the same if you have the misfortune to still have any business with them.
Here is the beginning of contact information and I will add to it as I complete my research.
