How nervous would you be about accepting the second position on the ticket before the Republican National Convention, if things keep going this way for Romney?
There is some noise today about Jindal
Romney was in Louisiana's capital to raise money with the state's governor, Bobby Jindal. Fehrnstrom said Monday the two politicians did not discuss the possibility of Jindal joining the Romney ticket.and Thune.
"He met with Gov. Jindal but they didn't talk about V.P.," Fehrnstrom said, mentioning that they did discuss education policy.
Sen. John Thune of South Dakota confirmed with The Hill that he had traveled to Boston to meet with Beth Myers, who is leading Romney's search for a vice presidential pick, along with other senior advisers at the presumptive GOP nominee's headquarters. But I really wonder what these people are thinking right now. The minute they become part of the ticket, their name becomes permanently linked to Romney.
How much worse can it get before some of the possible candidates are afraid to accept the offer? If it was me, I would certainly wait out the rest of this week to see what the next turn in the plot is.
This could get very interesting.
