No one who has received amnesty for a serious crime, such as tax evasion, can be president.
Abrams brings into question the position of Republican leaders:
the clearest, cleanest, unspinnable, problem with Romney's finances -- amnesty for his Swiss accounts -- suggesting that the Republican leaders, who dislike him anyhow, could not abide such a fatally-flawed nominee.
Abrams thoughts on who will be the GOP presidential nominee:
Before Romney is forced to withdraw, he will make a Vice Presidential selection, as an attempt to make it seem that his nomination is just rolling along, and is inevitable.
That person will have been fully vetted, (including his/her tax returns!).
I predict, therefore, that the Republican nominee for president will be the person Romney selects as his VP.
The whole article is worth a read as it goes into detail regarding the Swiss accounts and questions why they were closed but the ones in Cayman Islands and Bermuda (also abusive tax havens) were left open.

It would be interesting to get your feedback on:
a) do you think this is a plausible scenario
b) who do you think the VP will be and why
c) is there some nefarious plotting/planning going on behind closed doors with the heirachy of the GOP
