Yes, this image is obviously Photoshopped. I know that for a fact, because I did it.

So, Chick-fil-A is proud to be anti-gay, and we all know what the Westboro Baptist Church thinks. I think it's a match made in (a place). I think they should have a commitment ceremony (one that commits their members and executives to a mental institution).

But it's okay, since their personal interpretation and version of Christianity is that lying is either okay, or at least not as "wrong" as being gay. Of course, most Christians remember that God had a Top Ten list, in which He included lying (bearing false witness), etc... but for some reason forgot to include the gay thing in the Top Ten list. (And don't forget that the book of Leviticus also called eating pig and shellfish an abomination- sorry Red Lobster and BBQ joints.)

The CEO and son of the founder of Chick-fil-A is okay with lying about the safety of Muppet toys (which they supposedly only found out about the day after the Muppet Company ended their contract). After all, he was defending their brand of Christian principles which, as I said, makes gay the wrongest thing, but not lying.

I guess the men in the Cathy family (that's a kinda gay name for men) still have their first wives. He seemed a little specific about that, as if he was either signalling a future change, or was wanting to specifically condemn Republican conservative stalwarts Rush Limbaugh and Newt Gingrich (who've each had at least three wives (who's the polygamist now?) - oh, they weren't at the same time. I think Newt's slogan is "learn-em and burn-em." At least the "Cathys" seem to be against that.

Whatever. Chick-fil-A is so gay for giving a shit about who consenting adults find happiness with. Westboro is "off the cliff crazy," but Chick-fil-A is just run-of-the-mill "I hate blacks and browns and gays and women should be in the kitchen" bigots. As if that statement makes them less "off-the-cliff."

Get over the shit already- "It get's better" applies to All of America, if we get over who my God loves versus your god. Oh, and from a capitalism perspective, Gay Marriage is apparently a good thing (think about shoes and shopping):

I'm not gay (I'm obligated to say that in case a woman finds this post intriguing). And it doesn't matter if I give a shit about gay people and what they do, because they don't need our blessing America. Find somebody to love. Search until you do. Be yourself.

And when it comes to government recognition- it shouldn't matter what color people are, what sex they are, or whether they think god is a he, a she, or doesn't exist.

Tagging tips - Search For Tags - Browse For Tags

More Tagging tips:

A tag is a way to search for this diary. If someone is searching for "Barack Obama," is this a diary they'd be trying to find?

Use a person's full name, without any title. Senator Obama may become President Obama, and Michelle Obama might run for office.

If your diary covers an election or elected official, use election tags, which are generally the state abbreviation followed by the office. CA-01 is the first district House seat. CA-Sen covers both senate races. NY-GOV covers the New York governor's race.

Tags do not compound: that is, "education reform" is a completely different tag from "education". A tag like "reform" alone is probably not meaningful.

Consider if one or more of these tags fits your diary: Civil Rights, Community, Congress, Culture, Economy, Education, Elections, Energy, Environment, Health Care, International, Labor, Law, Media, Meta, National Security, Science, Transportation, or White House. If your diary is specific to a state, consider adding the state (California, Texas, etc). Keep in mind, though, that there are many wonderful and important diaries that don't fit in any of these tags. Don't worry if yours doesn't.

You can add a private note to this diary when hotlisting it:

I checked the Chick-fil-A website to see if there were any in the vicinity that...oh, I don't know...maybe I could boycott (I have to confess that I've never seen one).  Turns out - according to their own web site - that in the entire, most expansive definition of the Pacific Northwest, there are apparently 4 of them:  three in southern Idaho (one outside of Idaho Falls and two in the Boise area) and one near the Western Washington University campus in Bellingham...

None at all in Orygun, none in Montana, and probably soon to be none in Washington if my recollection of the mindset of Western Washington University political sensibilities is still current (may not be, but I have a relative that attended WWU, and it didn't strike me as the sort of place to tolerate prejudice back in the day).  I can't even express my outrage appropriately without a hard day or so of driving to California...

I'm surprised they are in the NW at all. They are mostly southern and especially southeastern US. I think the hub is in Georgia, but I'm too lazy to look.

However, they are not a small joint as far as franchising. They have more than 1,000 stores, making them one of the top 4-5 "chicken" fast food restaurants in the U.S.

They are closed on Sundays. They might lie and consider the Old Testament above the words of Jesus, but they at least don't make their minimum wage workers come in on Sundays.

has put up an online petition encouraging his followers to all go to Chik Fil-A on August lst in a show of solidarity.

Yesterday he had over 80,000 signatures.  It's enough to make a normal person vow to never eat deep fried chicken on a toasted bun ever again.

I guess the men in the Cathy family (that's a kinda gay name for men) still have their first wives.
The wives probably don't have the common sense to leave and if they did ever have any common sense a) it was probably beaten out of them and b) they wouldn't have married these losers in the first place.
