Good morning.
Next week will mark the completion of 6 years of the Home Repair shop. It has been my pleasure to host these Saturday morning gatherings, and I have been gratified by the ongoing and heartfelt response of the Kossak community to these efforts.
It will probably come as no surprise for me to announce that I am giving up the keys to the Shop; getting up every Saturday morning has become a chore I no longer wish to feel obligated to perform. This decision hasn't come easily, and it in no way reflects badly upon my fellow Homies or Daily Kos in general. I am hoping that some of the regular contributors to our conversations will be able to pick up where I am leaving off, as, it seems, we provide a useful service and a congenial gathering place that ought not to close just because I can't keep doing it.
I am not leaving Daily Kos. There are no secret developments in my health or well-being; I'm simply, and selfishly, tired of doing it. I will continue to partake in these conversations and offer such help as seems appropriate, when the spirit so moves me. I thank everybody for the warm regard in which I am held, and for helping to make this little gathering happen all these years.
