Regarding the supposed support for Chick-Fil-A on "Support Day" and it's supposed effect on the election, here's my take.
I suspect the "support" for CFA is overblown. Consider that most regions have one or a few at most CFA, if they have any, so if you can get a couple hundred nuts to show up, it looks like a huge show of support. There are (or should be) far more polling places than CFAs in most areas.
Also, the media only focused on those CFAs with the crowds and likely ignored the ones with little or no or even fewer customers that day. I suspect all over the country, reporters with cameras showed up at CFAs, found little or nothing, and left with no report being made.
I'm not saying we need to be complacent, I am saying that it's not something, by itself, to be worried about.
