Officials told NBC News the suspect, who served in the U.S. Army, had many tattoos. The suspect had some kind of radical or white supremacist views but, as far as officials said they had heard, he was not in any kind of radical organization. His previous run-ins with law enforcement involved in traffic offenses, they said.
The suspect was renting the house from a man who lived across the street who's name I won't mention, though it's being reported by some news agencies at this point. The man lived with the landlord for a few weeks in the recent past before the rental became available. The house can be seen in various photos online at this point and coupling that with google maps data and online property records data, the name in the news and the house address match. So this backstory seems to check out IMO.
