I know that Mitt's tax problem disappeared momentarily, however now is a great time to remind everyone about it by asking Paul Ryan if he had to submit ten years of taxes to Romney.
I think that every time Ryan is interviewed he should be asked, "how many years of tax returns did you provide the Romney campaign?" If his answer is ten years, they should follow up (I know, no follow ups allowed, or asked), with, "Why did you do that?" or "what do you think would have happened if you refused to release your tax returns to him, would he have not offered you the VP slot?"
Another good question over to squiggle...
Ryan brings the health care debate front and center, and I know that Obama's got this, but still. They need to hammered relentlessly about privatizing medicare, so everyone should ask about whether they support privatizing Medicare.
I am glad everyone here seems to say end Medicare. Do not say end it as we know it, say privatize it, or end it. That does two things; makes them explain it all the time why they would be getting vouchers to buy private insurance, and that makes it clear that Obama's health plan is also buying private health care.
Another way to make the argument is to propose lowering Medicare eligibility. The excellent diary by bink Retire at 55 talks about this. If everyone can get Medicare at 55, the number of people able to retire would be huge. This brings the discussion out and makes them defend their very unpopular stance.
Just a thought.
