IMO, as a vet, you're kind of dishonoring your former profession. Putting your life on the line for your country and the members of your team -- and the personal sacrifice involved not just during missions but in years of training -- requires extraordinary integrity that your effort as a participant in our democracy seems to lack. Putting country and your fellow Americans first requires more of you than you seem willing to give. It requires a higher degree of honesty (both with others and yourself) than you're displaying here. Do you acknowledge the fact that many of your colleagues disagree with you (and I know many do because I know them)? Do you present President Obama's quotes in context or do you edit them to make them better suit your purposes? Do you apply the same standard to Republicans who have done what you now criticize? Do you apply the same standard to yourself? Do you respond to far worse "outrages" by people you are currently in alliance with with any sense of proportion (i.e. the systematic effort to take legal voters off of the rolls or make it more difficult to vote)? And so on. What you're doing is common. People get their panties in a bunch and act out all the time. Maybe it's unfair to expect more from a SEAL but I do.
