In a recently released video, Chicago Teachers Union shows the games played by wealthy elites to smear the Union in the midst of heated contract negotiations.  Chicago Teachers Union has maintained that it will not bargain in the press over a fair contract, but associates of Mayor Rahm Emanuel have used backroom deals in Springfield, paid protesters, and even members of the Michigan Tea Party to distort the public's image of the Union.

In the video, Chicago Tea Party activist and blogger Andrew Marcus boasts about working with Chicago's Mayor Rahm Emanuel to discredit "the unions in this town."

Those were his words, from his mouth, caught on tape. Apparently the Tea Party -- much like the Rahm Emanuel -- does not believe in transparency because today Marcus issued a press release attacking Chicago teachers, however never denying that he is a Tea Party activist against President Obama.

It's a surprise that Emanuel would want anything to do with him.  Video after the jump.

Video featuring Marcus boasting about going against the "unions in this town" along with Mayor Rahm Emanuel.

From Marcus' press release:

Marcus directed a short documentary entitled “A Tale Of Two Missions” for the Education Action Group (EAG). The documentary examines the reform battle being waged in Chicago between advocates for school choice and the CTU. The film stars Juan Williams and features a candid interview with Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel.

The CTU describes Marcus as a writer for a “right wing radical extremist blog” Founding Bloggers www.foundingbloggers.com

Actually, not once in the video did anyone call Marcus a "radical." He was described as "extremist," "right-wing," and a member of the Tea Party, but never radical.

Past blog posts from "Founding Bloggers" uncovered pictures of a Tea Party rally were featured in the video.

Here is a post from "Founding Bloggers" where he like many Tea Party contemporaries attempt to connect President Obama to a socialist party. This is not a person that Rahm Emanuel, former chief-of-staff to the POTUS, should be associating with.

To uncover the full extent of how reactionary and extremist he is, check out past posts from his blog.

Marcus is @HatingBreitbart on Twitter.

More Tagging tips:

A tag is a way to search for this diary. If someone is searching for "Barack Obama," is this a diary they'd be trying to find?

Use a person's full name, without any title. Senator Obama may become President Obama, and Michelle Obama might run for office.

If your diary covers an election or elected official, use election tags, which are generally the state abbreviation followed by the office. CA-01 is the first district House seat. CA-Sen covers both senate races. NY-GOV covers the New York governor's race.

Tags do not compound: that is, "education reform" is a completely different tag from "education". A tag like "reform" alone is probably not meaningful.

Consider if one or more of these tags fits your diary: Civil Rights, Community, Congress, Culture, Economy, Education, Elections, Energy, Environment, Health Care, International, Labor, Law, Media, Meta, National Security, Science, Transportation, or White House. If your diary is specific to a state, consider adding the state (California, Texas, etc). Keep in mind, though, that there are many wonderful and important diaries that don't fit in any of these tags. Don't worry if yours doesn't.
