On September 11, the book, No Easy Day: The Firsthand Account of the Mission That Killed Osama Bin Laden," will be released. It was penned by a Navy seal, who wished to be anonymous. From the accounts, it seems that he didn't do much to protect his anonymity, as ha apparently wrote of his life in Alaska, before going into detail on the secret mission that led to killing of Bin Laden.
Today, FOX released his identity.
Many important accounts have been released through secret sources.. many books written by those with a pseudonym have made a difference. However, did he compromise National Security?
___ [I omitted his name] could be exposing himself to legal trouble, as the Pentagon has not vetted the account.
The tell-all book also has apparently upset a large population of former and current SEAL members who worry about releasing information that could compromise future missions.
I hate linking FOX, but I think it is an interesting discussion and thus I made the diary... discuss away.
