Ever since Harry Reid said that he got a call from someone at Bain who told him Romney paid no Federal Taxes in 10 years I have thought that at some point, someone will leak Romney's Tax Returns proving he paid no taxes.
One thing that struck me as being odd and, almost indicating guilt on Romney's part was Romney's initial response to Reid's allegation. If you recall Reid's story was printed by Ryan Grimm at the Huffington Post and Reid said one person (singular) told him Romney had not paid taxes in 10 years.
Harry Reid interview with The Huffington Post:
A month or so ago he said, a person who had invested with Bain Capital called his office. "Harry, he didn't pay any taxes for 10 years," Reid recounted the person as saying.

Romney's very first response indicated he, Romney, knew that
more than one person knew Mitt did not pay taxes in 10 years as he used the word "sources" (
plural)
ROMNEY: I’m looking forward to have Harry reveal his sources, and we’ll probably find out it’s the White House.”

At the time, and is always the case with secret Romney, people were debating whether or not anyone would really know if Romney had not paid taxes. But my question was, why did Romney use the plural sense when Reid was clearly using the singular?
To me, the only reason Romney said "sources" (plural) was because he knows that more than one person would know he did not pay taxes. Maybe Romney gave his prior year Tax Returns to the people who filed K1 to the IRS for Bain partners and those people knew Romney had not paid taxes? Maybe Romney thinks former Bain Execs Geoffrey S. Rehnert and Marc B. Wolpow had copies of Romney's Tax Returns? Maybe Mitt knew that some "people" (plural) from McCain campaign, who also invested in Bain, saw Romney's Tax Returns and they may have told Reid?
In any event, Romney's first response was weird and to me, implied he knew more than one source could have told Reid.
Now comes the drip, drip, drip: Gawker "leaks" Bain documents.
The debate now is: Do the Bain "leaked" documents substantiate Reid's claims? I've even read some headlines that ask: "Is Harry Reid's Bain Investor Friend the Gawker Leaker?"
If I were Mitt Romney, I would be worried that the next "leak" would be 10 years of Tax Returns showing no taxes were paid.
I have always thought that Harry Reid would not have been so brazen with his allegation unless Reid knew that at some point Romney's Tax Returns would be "leaked" thus proving Reid's allegation.
To me, a man who stashes Millions in mysterious Foreign Corporations and who reports over $20 Million in earnings for 2010 but only pays 13% in 2010 Tax Year is not passionate about America.
Romney thinks America should invade Iran, put troops in Syria and increase spending on US Defense -- yet -- Romney does not want his money to help pay for those things. I find that very disturbing.
The voters have to decide: Does a man, Romney, who does not invest in America but invests Millions in Foreign Countries worthy of being President of the United States?
