I hadn't planned to stay up tonight, but I have work to do precipitated by the death of Denver icon, Blinky the Clown. (If you've never thought 30, 40 and 50 year olds, male and female, could be brought to tears, en masse, by the death of a clown, you'd be wrong.)
Any way I pulled my head out of my work and saw this on facebook:
This is the second time today I have encountered this new "meme." And actually this image is a meme inside a meme (notice how all the purdee wimunz picktures r on the Republican right)
and the week is still young!...
So I did the reflexive "WTF" and went looking on the web for the story about children and breast feeding have been banned from the DNC convention ... but the only reference I can find are on blogs, and rw news sites. None trusted sources.
There isn't even any mention of it, not even as an action item, on breastfeeding advocacy websites, which you'd think there'd be some.
And Michelle Obama has been a breastfeeding advocate. And taking hits for it from the Teabaggers and Sarah Palin. So it seems a little weird.
So what's the skinny? What the origin of this story? Are they just a little sensitive that 7 foot string has been banned from theirs?
