Politics Done Right with Egberto Willies

Saturday 12:00 Noon Central/1:00 PM Eastern

Call In, talk and/or Listen:
(646) 929-2495

This was the week America was waiting for. The Republican Party officially presented Mitt Romney and Paul Ryan as their presidential and vice-presidential candidates. So how did that go? If what you were looking for was information that you will be able to use to contrast with whatever the Democrats provide you then you will be sadly disappointed.

My guest for the entire show will be Julianna Forlano from the satirical news segment Absurdity Today”. Absurdity Today! is a satirical news segment that skewers politics and current events without the need to be network appropriate. Host and producer, Julianna Forlano has performed in venues across the US and Canada. She is also a professor of Media Studies at Brooklyn College and is a regular guest on talk radio programs across the nation.

Please call in and talk to both of us. It should be fun. Read some of my blog posts for this week. They will provide context to what we will cover on the show.

This week I will cover the following topics.

Listen And Chat < Here > at your computer or smartphone

Please call me at (646)929-2495 let us discuss these issues. I want to hear and discuss ALL points of views.

More Tagging tips:

A tag is a way to search for this diary. If someone is searching for "Barack Obama," is this a diary they'd be trying to find?

Use a person's full name, without any title. Senator Obama may become President Obama, and Michelle Obama might run for office.

If your diary covers an election or elected official, use election tags, which are generally the state abbreviation followed by the office. CA-01 is the first district House seat. CA-Sen covers both senate races. NY-GOV covers the New York governor's race.

Tags do not compound: that is, "education reform" is a completely different tag from "education". A tag like "reform" alone is probably not meaningful.

Consider if one or more of these tags fits your diary: Civil Rights, Community, Congress, Culture, Economy, Education, Elections, Energy, Environment, Health Care, International, Labor, Law, Media, Meta, National Security, Science, Transportation, or White House. If your diary is specific to a state, consider adding the state (California, Texas, etc). Keep in mind, though, that there are many wonderful and important diaries that don't fit in any of these tags. Don't worry if yours doesn't.
