In the second week of the Latino Decisions tracking poll, Romney has received a bump from his convention.
Of course, this is probably going to be near the high-water mark for Mitt Romney among the greater Latino/Hispanic/Chicano community. The Romney camp has stated they are shooting for 38% of this group. GOP leaders have acknowledged how difficult it would be for Romney to win the Presidency without reaching this benchmark.
Not only is the Latino vote crucial in the western states of Colorado, New Mexico, and Nevada, but also in the battleground states of Virginia, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, Ohio, and Florida.
I am sticking with my prediction of Obama getting 68% of the Latino vote. Romney should get around 30%. Obama will see a nice bump toward the end of this week and then he will crush Romney in the debates (hopefully).
But let's not get complacent people! Keep donating! Keep volunteering! Keep registering new voters!!!
