R.E.M. today, through its music publisher, Warner-Tamerlane Music, demanded that Fox News cease and desist from continuing its unlicensed and unauthorized use of the song. Three scientific organizations have all reached agreement that the Arctic Ice Cap is missing 50% of its ice. The is an all time low for the Arctic Sea. The ice cap has never been this low, get this, in over 1,450 years! The ice is not done melting this year and is continuing to melt. Because of the warmth, huge hurricane like storms are hitting Alaska and the Arctic Sea and breaking up the thin ice even more.
