Sure, today Gallop has President Obama on top 49% to 45%. And, sure, that's the highest he has been since April. But that could hardly be called a bounce. I mean, yes, he's up three points since the start of the convention, but surely that is just statistical noise.
And, ok, he's also up in the Rasmussen daily tracking poll 46% to 44%. And, yeah, Rasmussen says "The president is enjoying a convention bounce that has been evident in the last two nights of tracking data." But we all know they're just a bunch of commie-pinko liberals.
And, ok, ok, the Reuters/Ipsos has Obama up 46% to 44%, but they flat out said yesterday there was no bounce, see: So far, U.S. President Barack Obama has not received much of a bounce yet in popular support from the Democratic National Convention, a Reuters/Ipsos poll found on Thursday. And they even included a really unflattering image of the President to make sure that we understand that no bounce is possible.
So, nope, no bounce. Go on about your business.
