On this day in 2001 I was working at a company that supplied kidney dialysis supplies to clinics and home patients. We had to scramble to make sure the supplies went out. It was a matter of life and death to our patients. There was no option of not dialyzing.
Today I spend the day cleaning out a house that belonged to my parents. My older brother lived here. We buried him on Wednesday. I am dealing with the mess he made of the house, his finances, and at the end his life. Vietnam destroyed something inside of him and in the end the war won.
Today as I clean I will be honoring a Vietnam War veteran and my Dad a World War II veteran. I will also honor the woman who loved them and waited for Dad to come home from war and was mother to their first born son.
