On October 3rd in Denver, PBS’ Jim Lehrer will moderate the first of three presidential debates for the 2012 election. There's a question I’d love for him to ask Mitt Romney. . .
“Mr. Romney, you have a habit of smirking, snickering and giggling nervously when you're confronted about something - like unreleased tax returns, outsourcing jobs through Bain Capital, Massachusetts healthcare, adolescent bullying incidents, and your dog on the roof of your car. Last month, after accusing President Obama of appeasing and apologizing to Muslims, you had an unmistakable smirk on your face. Do you believe voters may question your sincerity - or your integrity - after witnessing these?"
Or maybe Candy Crowley of CNN would be more likely to ask it?
I believe Mitt’s already predictably problematic debate performance would deteriorate significantly after tittering through whatever awkward answer he'd concoct.
