Long time lurker, occasional commenter, first diary. Thought the community might like a peek inside the mind of an ultra conservative. Scary stuff.
The only local newspaper in our small city of about 18,000 people recently ran a piece entitled "The Charlotte Freak Show". The author, Peter Heck, was described by one of the readers in the Public Forum ;
"Mr. Heck seems to be a Glenn Beck wannabe, and would make a great Fox newsman. They are good at cherry picking points that favor their biased, unfair and unbalanced approach to any topic."

His article can be found at americanthinker.com. Looks like a pretty far right site to me (I set my browser to private browsing before I went there, since I probably won't be returning}.

It's frightening to me that a human could have watched the same convention that I did and come away with that impression. Even more scary to me is ;
Peter is a public high school government teacher and radio talk show host in central Indiana.
Thanks for looking.
