NOTE: I WROTE THIS DIARY BEFORE LOOKING AT YESTERDAY'S POLLS ON THE MA SENATE RACE! I HAD IT SCHEDULED TO GO LIVE TODAY!
Surprise, surprise. Scott Brown doesn't support the medicinial marijuana bill that is on the ballot this November:

Now here's Brown's thoughts on the bill:
Brown said he's opposed to a question that would legalize the medical use of marijuana.
Brown said he sympathizes with people who are suffering but said the proposed law is too broad. The measure calls for the state to register up to 35 nonprofit medical treatment centers to distribute the marijuana. - 9/14/12
So the fact that Brown is against medicinal marijuana doesn't seem like big news on the surface. But the bill has the majority support of Massachusetts voters:

Sixty percent of Bay State voters said they support allowing terminally ill people to legally obtain medication to end their lives, according to the latest survey from Western New England University Polling Institute in partnership with The Republican and MassLive.com.
Sixty-four percent of voters, meanwhile, backed legalizing the use of marijuana for medical purposes and 27 percent opposed the idea, according to the survey of 504 registered voters conducted from May 29 to 31. - 6/4/12
Like in MA, marijuana-based propositions and initiatives have solid leads in the polls:

In Massachusetts, voters will decide on Question 3, a statewide proposal that seeks to allow for the physician-recommended possession and state-licensed distribution of cannabis for therapeutic purposes. - 9/14/12
In Massachusetts, a majority of likely voters support Question 3. A Public Policy Polling survey released in August reported that 58 percent of respondents favor the measure versus only 27 percent who oppose it. - 9/14/12
Now I know you're probably asking what does medical marijuana have to do with the Senate race. Well, this diary written by cordgrass made a point how medicinal marijuana being on the ballot could benefit Warren's campaign:

Now Warren has been taking PPP and other political experts advice in changing up her campaign ads to heart:

Warren has been mum on the issue but I think if she came out in support of the medicinal marijuana initiative, it could help her win the race. What do you guys think? Vote in the poll below. I think she should back the initiative and could help her win the youth vote. if you think so, Tweet Warren and please donate to her campaign:
