Whew.  I guess last night really cleared the air about who cares for who in this election.

Well, I care and I know all about "those dependent people".

I was the homeless kid after my mom left my father who threatened to kill her.

I was the kid on free lunch-- so poor they took me out of class in the morning to give me breakfast.

I was the 14 year old kid whose WWII father died and my sister and I got his SS benefits to the age of 18.

I was the kid orphaned at 16 who relied on the grace of my mother's lover because I was left penniless and no one else would care for my sister and I.

I was the kid with the pell grants and the stafford loans who got a BA.

I was the young woman got pregnant at 18, realized I was in no shape to have a child and sought an abortion.

I was the young woman who messed up again, got pregnant and released my child for adoption.

I was the young pregnant mom on WIC, food stamps and medicaid.

I was the young woman who even though my income was considered poverty level that paid taxes.

I was the woman that worked as a mental health outreach worker to keep those with mental health issues as healthy as possible, off the streets, and out of the hospital barely able to pay rent myself.

I was the woman who sought all of my healthcare from Planned Parenthood because they gave me cancer screenings, birth control, and cared for all aspects of me.

I am the woman who met the man of her dreams, has two kids, and now is a part of the 1%.

I am the woman who believes that you give what you owe.

I am the woman that knows all about the programs you plan to cut and gut.

I am the woman who lives on the border of Illinois and Indiana that will get out the vote and educate people on what you really plan on doing for your 1% since no one else matters to you.

And I am not your 1%, Mitt.  You can take care of someone else because I don't want any of what you have to offer.  You are a baseless, gutless, uncaring man.  May God have mercy on your soul because you won't get it from me.

More Tagging tips:

A tag is a way to search for this diary. If someone is searching for "Barack Obama," is this a diary they'd be trying to find?

Use a person's full name, without any title. Senator Obama may become President Obama, and Michelle Obama might run for office.

If your diary covers an election or elected official, use election tags, which are generally the state abbreviation followed by the office. CA-01 is the first district House seat. CA-Sen covers both senate races. NY-GOV covers the New York governor's race.

Tags do not compound: that is, "education reform" is a completely different tag from "education". A tag like "reform" alone is probably not meaningful.

Consider if one or more of these tags fits your diary: Civil Rights, Community, Congress, Culture, Economy, Education, Elections, Energy, Environment, Health Care, International, Labor, Law, Media, Meta, National Security, Science, Transportation, or White House. If your diary is specific to a state, consider adding the state (California, Texas, etc). Keep in mind, though, that there are many wonderful and important diaries that don't fit in any of these tags. Don't worry if yours doesn't.
