So, those kind people who put me on the Tea Party mailing list without checking my politics are back, and they're in a tizzy. It seems that a pack of evil supervillains is out to get Congressman West, and he's fighting back tooth and nail but they've pushed him to the edge of the cliff.
So I feel that for all concerned, I should advise you that:
Congressman Allen West is under incredible attack. Barack Obama, Nancy Pelosi, and George Soros are all fighting tooth and nail to defeat this conservative superstar.
Squiggle on!
The Tea Party Contacts mail is asking for help from "The Conservative StrikeForce PAC" (which obviously isn't me, since I don't have a war chest of $2.5 million dollars or so and anyway, I'm a feckless liberal hippie: http://fec-political-committees.findthedata.org/... ) I can see why they're concerned because other (unsubstantiated) reports are that Soros has put $5 million of his own money into defeating West.
This must be the same $5 million he pledged to defeat Ms. Love last week, since she's still at a double-digit loss and there's no use throwing money into an obvious win. HuffPo says it's only $1 million dollars and it's a Democrat PAC -- but this is obviously the report of a Biased Liberal Hippie Media Propaganda Machine: http://www.huffingtonpost.com/...
He's also outspent his opponent, Patrick Murphy, by a considerable amount and in spite of that, they're tied in the polls. This is obviously an Evil Mind Controlling Trick of the Supervillains since money should trump things like... oh... your candidate insulting women.
But... Tea Party Contacts continues onward with their desperate calls for money for the "Conservative Strike Force."
Our goal is to identify and turn out conservative voters and counter the massive left-wing operation that's been unleashed on Congressman West.
I hate to be the first one to mention this to them, but I believe the massive operation "unleashed on Congressman West" is the result of him opening his mouth, as we can see right here:
http://thinkprogress.org/...
We need to remind Florida's voters that Allen West has led the fight against ObamaCare.
...particularly the senior citizens and the disabled and the working poor. Let's do remind them and pair it with some of Romney's statements.
We need to show his constituents how he is a leader in the fight against wasteful government spending.
Yes, as those letters turned up by Newsweek (that evil tool of liberals) shows:
http://theporkbarrel.tumblr.com/...
And we need to demonstrate in no uncertain terms that Patrick Murphy will be a reliably liberal vote to elect Nancy Pelosi Speaker of the House
Did that strike an odd note with you? Well, remember that quote above:
Congressman Allen West is under incredible attack. Barack Obama, Nancy Pelosi, and George Soros are all fighting tooth and nail to defeat this conservative superstar.
Now, I could have sworn that Obama's working the Romney angle and running the country. In fact, googling shows that while West has taken a lot of swipes at Obama, the President seems to have forgotten to swipe back in his efforts to go mano-a-mano with Romney. They can make more of a case for Pelosi, since she said it would be sweet if West lost (this, after West called her "somewhat delusional" and called for Obama, Pelosi, and Harry Reid to get out of the country.)
They end their letter with a rousing call for funds (to supplement the over $5 million already spent
Allen West can't win this race on his own. He needs the conservative grassroots from across America to rally to his side.
I think the grassroots are being swamped by pleas from above, m'dear. It's an interesting way of redistributing the wealth.
That's where the Conservative StrikeForce PAC comes in. Our mission is to help good conservatives like Allen West win despite all the horrible negative attacks that Barack Obama and Nancy Pelosi throw at them.
...because we've all seen horrible negative attacks that are constantly being put out by Obama and Pelosi (anyone know WHY she's suddenly on their Axis of Evil?) who have nothing better to do than put out ads against Mr. West.
And there you have it... your morning dose of fundraising hysteria.
