A judge in Pennsylvania this morning blocked PA's new voter ID law from taking effect before the November election, saying he can not be sure the state will be able to provide correct ID for all voters in time to vote...

PA's legislature-contolled by republicans sent the law to republican governor Tom Corbett, which he signed immediately. A top GOP legislator stated a few days later that they had thereby secured PA for Mitt Romney.People later determined that over 100000 legal voters could not be able to vote due to lack of the required ID, and that most of these voters were Democrats.
The law was so vaguely worded and the requirements for the ID card so indistinct that the Governor himself stated he did not know the requirements even though he signed the law. PA State Supreme Court sent the appeal back to the lower court saying they were not sure why the legislature was in such a rush to have this law in effect when there had been NO prosecuted cases of voter fraud in PA for about 10 years.
Many right wing online sites have since published anecdotal reports of "seeing people shuffle through stacks of ID cards to vote", when PA has NEVER required any ID in order to vote.
The GOP or another party may yet appeal this decision.
