Previous diary on arson at Toledo Islamic Center (Monday,October 1, 2012)

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE/AP)  A DeKalb County man was arrested by state and federal authorities on Tuesday for allegedly starting a fire at the Islamic Center in Toledo on Sunday.

Arrest warrants were issued out of Ohio for Randy T. Linn, 52, of St. Joe, Indiana.

Security cameras at the mosque captured photos of Linn and his vehicle. Linn, dressed in a camouflage hoodie, is seen in photos entering the mosque. His red mini van was the only vehicle in the parking lot. Bowling Green Sentinel Tribune

More Tagging tips:

A tag is a way to search for this diary. If someone is searching for "Barack Obama," is this a diary they'd be trying to find?

Use a person's full name, without any title. Senator Obama may become President Obama, and Michelle Obama might run for office.

If your diary covers an election or elected official, use election tags, which are generally the state abbreviation followed by the office. CA-01 is the first district House seat. CA-Sen covers both senate races. NY-GOV covers the New York governor's race.

Tags do not compound: that is, "education reform" is a completely different tag from "education". A tag like "reform" alone is probably not meaningful.

Consider if one or more of these tags fits your diary: Civil Rights, Community, Congress, Culture, Economy, Education, Elections, Energy, Environment, Health Care, International, Labor, Law, Media, Meta, National Security, Science, Transportation, or White House. If your diary is specific to a state, consider adding the state (California, Texas, etc). Keep in mind, though, that there are many wonderful and important diaries that don't fit in any of these tags. Don't worry if yours doesn't.

Burn some more. Find an Muslim country that treats women and minorities with respect and dignity. Burn some churches too, they get just as uppity. Religion has killed more people than anything else in the history of mankind.
Normally I would be against the burning or vandalizing a place of worship, given the track record of muslims I am willing to make an exception in this case. If muslims want acceptance and tolerance shown them, they need to show acceptance and tolerance towards others, stop trying to control everybody by any means available.
Maybe his god wants him to do this. Any of you a holes that are sticking up for Islam should go to that side of the world and see how long you live. Americans need to wake up.

  •  Damn! That Mosque Is One of The Most Reasonable (9+ / 0-)

in the United States,  After 9/11 people from every religious group in Lucas County came out to protect it.  This is personally offensive and painful.  I've worked with members of that mosque in interfaith dialogue and they are friends and colleagues.  Some of their members are 3rd generation Americans who have contributed significant intellectual and cultural capital to the Toledo and Lucas County area for all of those generations.  This angers me beyond belief.  Indiana can keep their damn zealots to themselves.

From my comment to Ekaterin's diary - Maine man took assault weapon to Batman movie who was caught

When he was pulled over on Sunday for speeding (112 mph), 49-year-old Timothy Courtois told police he was on his way to shoot a former employer.
Many stupid terrorists are caught while stupid.
Timothy McVeigh was arrested for driving without a license plate after detonating the bomb at the Alfred P. Murrah Federal Building in Oklahoma City.  He was already in jail before they knew who committed the terrorist act.

The follower of Sheikh Omar Abdel-Rahman put down a couple of hundred dollars deposit for the rental van that carried the explosives in the first World Trade Center bombing.  A partial VIN for the van was found in the debris.  After the bombing, he called the rental agency and wanted his deposit back.  They were waiting for him.

The Glen Beck attempted Tides Foundation terrorist (Byron Williams) was pulled over while weaving in traffic.  He got out of the car and started shooting.

These are just a few of the more famous stupid terrorists.

I wish they were all that inept. Running on anger can cause that.

who was on his way to shoot his former employer a terrorist? Sounds like he's just a would-be murderer?

My comment was made during the discussion of how stupid the would-be murderer was and how we can catch many terrorists because they do stupid things.
