A debate is supposed to engage voters and today should be filled with articles about the debate topics. But today there is little or no talk of policy differences, healthcare or women's issues, education or immigration. How is that a win for Willard? If style, he lost that by a smirk. If substance, he lost that in lies. In most, if not all, areas of social media, this debate came down to 12 seconds.
If you ask people today the one defining moment in the debate, the probable answer you will get is that Willard will, with great pleasure and a smirk on his face, fire Big Bird.
I don't call that a win or a knock out blow. I call that showing your true colours, especially for those who worked for companies that were taken over by Bain and then foreclosed.
